Ydor Hotel & Spa is located a stone’s throw away from the island’s port Korissia (a speedy 5-minute taxi journey, to be precise!), so your holiday on Kea can start almost instantly.

We’re right on the edge of Vourkari, the heart of the island’s social life. This bustling cosmopolitan village is filled with pretty brunch spots, tavernas and bars – a place where modern life and Grecian culture blend harmoniously.

For the beach-lovers, our hotel is a 5-minute walk away from picture-perfect Gialiskari beach which offers sunbeds and umbrellas and a hip beach bar.

Spend a day whizzing around the island by speedboat – stopping off at hidden beaches, snorkelling in the deep blue sea and visiting ancient ruins. And when you’ve ticked all the Kea to-see sights off your list, why not visit neighbouring island Kythnos? ‘Ydor’ is the Ancient Greek word for water (ὕδωρ). Historically, Kea boasted an abundance of water springs, which inspired the design of our hotel.

Taking inspiration from the ancient legends that put Kea on the map, we’ve created a destination that blurs mythology with modern day luxuries and new-age architecture.The Gods blessed our island with beauty and gifted us with uninterrupted, panoramic sea views. The nymph Cyrene was once called upon to appease the gods and confine the droughts, she now brings serenity to every guest at our state-of-the-art spa.
