A Warm Welcome
Our journey began with a short trip on private Sandglass boats from Lavrio to Kea Island. The sparkling Aegean Sea, under a clear blue sky, greeted us, and as we approached Kea, the island’s unique charm and inviting coastline painted a perfect picture of paradise. Upon arrival, journalists were warmly greeted with Sandglass cocktails expertly crafted by our mixologist.
Exploring Ydor Hotel & Spa
Guests were guided by the Sandglass team on tours of the hotel, discovering its 24 elegantly designed rooms and suites, each with sweeping views of the Aegean Sea. The rooms, adorned with modern yet cozy décor, offered a serene retreat. The mini splash pools shimmered under the sun, and the state-of-the-art Cyrene Spa promised rejuvenation. Some indulged in our signature massage treatments, feeling the stress melt away under skilled hands.
Culinary Delights
Our culinary journey captivated everyone with exquisite Japanese flavors during a delightful lunch next to our infinity pool. The live jazz band added to the relaxing atmosphere with their soothing tunes. Attendees enjoyed our signature cocktails, each inspired by our boutique hotels in Greece: Ydor Passion, Elounda Sunrise, Are You Iconic, Porto Kea Breeze, and Adytum Vibes.
Island Explorations and Waterfront Relaxation
Beyond the hotel, some guests ventured to Kea’s pristine beaches. A visit to the historic Monastery of Panagia Kastriani provided a glimpse into the island’s rich past. Meanwhile, the sun-drenched poolside, with its inviting loungers and refreshing Sandglass drinks, became a favorite spot for many.
Afternoon Celebrations
In the afternoon, excitement filled the air as we hosted a draw, with one lucky guest winning a two-night stay at any of our carefully curated Hotels & Villas Collection properties in Greece. As the day turned to evening, some opted to return to Lavrio, while others stayed to bask in the perfect full moon experience at the hotel. The moonlit sea, calm and glistening, created a peaceful and almost magical ambiance, perfect for a restful night. Additionally, some enjoyed the exclusive and lively nightlife in Vourkari, just a three-minute walk from the hotel. Vourkari offers a vibrant scene with restaurants, bars and a beautiful marina, providing an exciting contrast to the tranquil hotel setting.
